Request data deletion — Top Humans

You can request deletion of your Top Humans account and all associated personal data at any time, from the iOS or Android app, or the web. We confirm receipt within a few business days and process every request within 30 calendar days.

How to request — step by step

1. From the email address you used to register, send a message to [email protected].
2. Set the subject line to "Account deletion request".
3. In the body, include (optional but speeds verification):
   • your display name on Top Humans;
   • your user_number — visible in the app on your Card page, or in profile URLs as humans.top/u/<N>.
4. Wait for our confirmation reply. We process the request within 30 days of receipt.

What data will be deleted

Within 30 days of receipt we permanently delete:

• Account row (email address, display name, about text, profile photos, score history).
• Firebase Auth entry — your sign-in credential is revoked.
• Two-factor / security data — any TOTP secret, passkey (WebAuthn) credentials, and backup codes.
• Clubs data — your club memberships and your card-scan history.
• Public surfaces — your card at /u/<N>, the rating list row, the sitemap entry, and /top.json stop returning your data immediately on receipt, well before the underlying row is purged.
• Profile photos stored in our blob storage.

What data will be retained, and for how long

• Anonymised payment records — purchase amount, transaction ID, timestamp; no email or name attached. Retained indefinitely for legal and accounting purposes (tax filing, refund/chargeback handling). These cannot be linked back to a deleted account.
• Visitor IP addresses — collected once per distinct IP for the lifetime visitor counter. Not joined to any account, retained indefinitely in aggregate.
• Purchase receipts — immutable accounting records that snapshot the payer's email, name, and amount at issue time. Retained indefinitely for legal and accounting purposes; this is the one place a deleted account's email/name persists, and only for the books.

LLMs that have already trained on the publicly indexed copy of your profile cannot be retroactively scrubbed — that's an inherent limitation of the service, called out in the Privacy Policy.

Confirmation

You receive a confirmation reply within a few business days, and a final "data deleted" reply within 30 calendar days. If you don't hear back, write again — the original message may have been caught by a spam filter.
